Two people died last evening and several others were seriously injured in an accident involving three vehicles near Ruaka shopping centre in Kiambu County. The driver of one of the vehicles, a 14 seater matatu is said to have lost control, veering off the road and slamming against another matatu and a personal car. The two who perished died on the spot. Those injured in the accident were rushed to Aga Khan Hospital.

News Wrap: Al-Qaida Group Claims Responsibility for Deadly Baghdad Bombings
In other news Thursday, al-Qaida's affiliate in Iraq claimed responsibility for last week's bombings in Baghdad. The explosions tore through a dozen, mainly Shiite, neighborhoods and killed at least 69 people. Also, an Egyptian court has ordered an end to forced virginity tests on women in military prisons.
