Rush Limbaugh Calls a Female Georgetown Student, Sandra Fluke, a 'Slut'

The social issues debate re-ignited on Capitol Hill today when senators killed a proposal to throw out President Obama's contraception mandate. Conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh was thrust into the center of the debate after he called the woman who was denied the right to speak on the controversial all-male conception panel at a hearing last month a "slut" on his show Wednesday. The issue heated up more today when Limbaugh took his comments even further. News Wrap: Iran Calls US Sanctions 'Psychological War'

In other news Tuesday, Iran dismissed U.S. sanctions against the country's central bank. A spokesman for the Iranian foreign ministry equated the move to "psychological war," and said Iran would not give up its nuclear program. In Iraq, ministers from a Sunni-backed bloc ended their boycott of the Cabinet and returned to work.
