Addounia TV News from Syria 2012
Addounia TV is a private television station based in Damascus, Syria since 2007.
Addounia TV became very famous in the Arab and Western World, because of their daily airing of "Misleading Media" that shows how Al-Jazeera, Al-Arabiya, BBC Arabic and many more channels try to disinform people or how they fake news about the crisis in Syria. They also exposed the lies of CNN and Danny Abdul Dayem.
On September 23, 2011, the Council of the European Union added Addounia TV to its list of sanctioned individuals and entities, on the basis that Addounia TV had "incited violence against the civilian population in Syria.
The Arab League officially asked the satellite operators Arabsat and Nilesat to stop broadcasting Syrian media, including Addounia TV in June 2012.

'US should be excluded from talks over Syria just like Iran'
An international conference of countries which have influence on events in Syria is scheduled for this Saturday in Geneva. It aims to try to find a solution to the crisis. Iran hasn't been invited, despite earlier statements from the UN's Syria envoy Kofi Annan that it should be part of the peace process. RT talks to Sara Marusek, researcher from Syracuse University in Beirut.

In Syria, the fragile cease-fire brokered by the UN-Arab League envoy Kofi Annan was broken again: A roadside bomb struck a Syrian military truck, wounding six soldiers. But what was different was that the explosion happened just seconds after a convoy carrying the head of the U.N. observer mission passed by, which has put into speculation that perhaps the UN convoy was the target. News Wrap: 6 UN Observers Arrive in Syria to Monitor Cease-Fire
In other news Monday, an advance team of six U.N. observers arrived in Syria overnight to monitor a fading cease-fire. The Syrian army shelled several districts in Homs and at least 14 were killed in blasts, according to activists. Also, the man accused in last July's attacks in Norway pleaded not guilty.

UN approves Syria monitor mission
The UN Security Council has unanimously adopted a resolution that authorises an initial deployment of up to 300 unarmed military observers to Syria for three months to monitor a fragile week-old ceasefire in the country's 13-month old conflict.
The Russian and European drafted resolution said that deployment of the UN observer mission, which will be called UNSMIS, will be "subject to assessment by the Secretary-General [Ban Ki-moon] of relevant developments on the ground, including the cessation of violence".
Saturday's resolution also noted that the cessation of violence by the government and opposition is "clearly incomplete".

Pulitzer Prize-winning foreign correspondent Anthony Shadid has died while on assignment in Syria for The New York Times.
The newspaper reported the 43-year-old Shadid suffered a severe asthma attack Thursday while preparing to leave Syria, where he spent the past week covering opposition forces battling the regime of President Bashar al-Assad. A Times photographer traveling with Shadid took the reporter's body back to Turkey.
Shadid, an American of Lebanese descent who was fluid in Arabic, spent his two-decade career reporting on the Middle East for the Associated Press, The Boston Globe and The Washington Post, as well as the Times. He won the Pulitzer Prize for international reporting in 2004, and again in 2010, for his coverage of the U.S.-led invasion and occupation of Iraq while working for The Washington Post.
Shadid's Middle East assignments often put him in danger. He was shot in the shoulder in 2002 while covering the Israeli-occupied West Bank, and arrested in Libya last year along with two other Times correspondents by forces loyal to late dictator Moammar Gadhafi.
The Times says Shadid and his colleague slipped into Syria with the help of smugglers.
Times executive editor Jill Abramson praised Shadid as a reporter "determined to bear witness to the transformation sweeping the Middle East" in an e-mail to the newspaper's staff Thursday.
